Keystone Kares Supports the Beagle Freedom Project
At Keystone, giving back is more than a value – it’s part of who we are. Through Keystone Kares, we’re proud to support organizations making a meaningful impact in our communities and beyond.
This year, we are honored to partner with the Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) — a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals from lives of exploitation and giving them the second chance they deserve.
Founded in 2010, the Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) is known for its work rescuing beagles and other animals from experimental research labs. Beagles are often used in testing due to their gentle nature, but BFP is working to change that reality by advocating for cruelty-free alternatives, rescuing survivors, and educating the public about compassionate customer choices.
Once rescued, these animals receive medical care, rehabilitation, and lifelong support – whether through adoption or sanctuary living – helping them transition from lives of confinement to lives filled with safety, love, and freedom.
This year, Keystone CPAs is proud to donate $500 to the Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) in support of their lifesaving work.
Our contributions helps fund:
- Critical veterinary care and recovery services
- Rehabilitation for animals rescued from laboratory environments
- Ongoing rescue operations and sanctuary support, including Freedom Fields, BFP’s Oklahoma sanctuary that provides a safe haven for hundreds of rescued dogs
This partnership reflects Keystone’s commitment to compassion, ethical responsibility, and positive impact.
Bringing the Mission Closer to Home
This cause is especially meaningful to members of our Keystone team who share their lives with beagles and hound companions. Ryan Huber, Tax Senior Accountant, is the proud owner of a beagle named Louis and a passionate advocate for animal welfare.
“As a beagle owner, I’ve seen firsthand how intelligent, affectionate, and full of personality these dogs are. Support the Beagle Freedom Project means a lot to me because it helps raise awareness that beagles are still being used in laboratory testing today. My hope is that this donation not only supports rescue and rehabilitation efforts, but also shines a light on the incredible work being done to end animal testing and give these dogs the second chance they deserve”.
